Alaska Part II

I was really thankful the weather was so overcast and cloudy when we took our trip.

I believe the clouds and light bring out the mystery and the beauty of Alaska.

Check out these pictures below and see if you agree.

Ketchican Creek St

Ketchican Alaska: A street called Creek Street.

I know what you are thinking… You are thinking…

Oh my God… man made global warming is worse than I thought… Alaska is melting!

:)

And if you do think that from this picture… You are wrong…

&bnsp;

Now, back to reality… There were a lot of dead salmon along the creek bed, and lot and lots of birds feasting on the dead salmon… Nature running it’s course. The dead salmon were not strong enough to make it up the creek (without a paddle) Too weak. Too weak to mate. So yes, only the strong do survive in Nature.

On the next post we will go to other scenes in Alaska. Sitka and also Seattle Washington.

In the famous words of Elmer Fudd “duh dat, duh dat, duh dat, duh dat’s all folk’!”

If you get the chance you really should go and see it. I promise you will be awed and amazed at the raw beauty.

And if you get to go in October or November try to get more Northward… You may get a chance to see the Aurora Borealis! I was really hoping to see that, but the weather has to be cold and clear.

That’s it for now.

Take A Break With Sand Sculptures

Take A Break And See Some Interesting Sand Sculptures

Yes, I’m not always so intense. I need to get away sometimes. It’s always fun seeing surprising things. And funny ones too.

So last weekend we went off to the Jacksonville FL Beach for a sand sculpting contest.

You should try and make it down sometime when you get the chance. It’s an annual event. And the designs and sculptures are very creative… and some quite funny.

My pick of the funniest is the Puffer Fish sculpture below.

Puffer Fish

Unfortunately, he came in Second place in his category. An outrage!

The First Place winner was the Cheshire Cat

Cheshire Cat sculpture

Ok, Ok, I know there are a lot of cat lovers out there. Many more than puffer fish lovers. However, I still think the puffer fish was more creative.

Want Creative?

You Got it…

How about a scene sculpted right out of nature.

If they used some colors to dye the ink, it would have really looked real.

The poles the bird is on are 100% sand. You will aslo see sculpted out of sand — Rocks. Look closely at the smaller pole and you will see a bird nesting on it. A sand bird, that unfortunately my limited picture taking skills and editing skills did not really bring out. In other words, the picture is not nearly as good as the Nice detailed sculpting job!

Nature sand sculpture

How many times were you told to get the Sand off your feet?

This sculpture below makes it impossible to do.

Actually there were several teams that made sculptures of feet in sandals. This was the best of the bunch. The others got too much detail, and too much decoration. In other words, they got too carried away. Sometimes less IS more

Sand Sandals

But that does get old…

And speaking of old (nice segue)… How about some recently unearthed sand fossils!

These were just dug up! Or should I say dug into?

Sand Fossil

All that picture taking and viewing gets a person really thirsty!

Drunk Pirate

Being in Florida, you have to watch out for gators…

Gator Ate Pirate

The Final Two of the sculptures I liked best are…

The Mermaid

Sand Mermaid

And if you go for realism in your sand sculptures…

The Pig

Pig Suckling

Your Freedom To Use the Internet and Create and Post Your Own Content At Risk

Do You Want Some Corporation Dictating To You What You Can And Can’t Do On The Internet

Think it can’t happen? Well, it’s happening every day more and more. Especially if you live in the USA. Comcast is being sued for limiting peoples use of the internet. Other companies will soon be sued too.

When I heard about the Comcast case, I was happy. Rather than fighting spam which clogs up pipelines, they choose to limit the freedoms of their users. They restrict the bandwidth, and sites their users can go to.

I ask you… Is this right?

You pay for access to the internet. You are not paying an internet service provider for the right to have them dictate to you where and where not you can go on the net. You are not paying them to restrict your ability to create blogs, create pod casts, create videos and to post them.

But they are trying to do just that…

Do You Want Your Freedom To Post And Express Yourself On The Internet Limited By Your ISP?

I didn’t really believe this was possible, until after I read a post on a blog of a genius marketer Dean Hunt. Actually Dean has two blogs I read, http://deanhunt.com with his great Killer Bunnies, and fantastic insights. I only wish he lived around here so we could hang out together. And if you are not reading his blog… you should. It’s really funny, interesting, and insightful. A great break from all the drivel that’s out there… this blog included.

But I found out about ISP’s doing their best to limit our use of the internet on another of Dean’s blogs… called http://streetlessons.com a blog on marketing, by Dean Hunt and Barry Dunlop

They had a post there called…

Net Neutrality | Must Watch Video

It has a video from youtube. This video is a Must Watch

So Here it is

Enjoy and get really pissed off. Angry enough to write to your Senator, your Representative in congress. And badger them until… finally… they see the light. And they take action and stop the telephone companies from dictating how you can use the net, preventing competition on the net, dictating what you can see on the net, and destroying your voice to create your own content and enjoy and learn about others content.

Thanks For Reading!

Now go out and take some positive action.

Here is a list of Senators in the Congress of the United States

http://www.senate.gov/general/contact_information/senators_cfm.cfm

You can find your senators contact information. After you find it… use it. Keep your ability to find and create information free.

Here is a list of the members of the USA House of Representatives

Find your member and badger them about this until they take some action. We elect them. This is an election year. They need your vote to stay in office.

http://www.house.gov/

You can find them using the upper left hand side and look up your representatives office and contact information by entering your zip code.

Good Luck. Together let’s make some noise!

Nine Years For Spamming

A Cause For A Celebration!

I know, I know, I know… this is not propaganda. However, this blog is not 100% about propaganda.

And I just saw this great… no make that GREAT NEWS! Shout it from the roof tops.

A Fucking, slimy pig spammer just got sentenced to NINE YEARS IN PRISON.

NINE YEARS!

Nine Years

Can You Say “You’re My Bitch”

The spammer’s name is Jeremy Jaynes. And I believe he deserves much more than nine years.

Some people are complaining that nine years is too long a punishment.

Not me… I’m opening a frosty bottle of Champagne I was saving for a special occasion.

The story reports…

Though prosecutors believed Jaynes sent tens of millions of e-mails per day—and he was considered by Spamhaus to be one of the top-10 spammers in the world—they presented evidence of Jaynes sending just tens of thousands of spam e-mails with fake headers over three 24-hour periods.

Yes, you read that right. TENS OF MILLIONS OF SPAMS PER DAY.

He was considered by Spamhaus to be one of the top-10 spammers in the world

The story goes on

While searching Jaynes’ home, police found CDs containing 176 million e-mail addresses and 1.3 billion e-mail user names, according to court records. They also found disks containing 107 million AOL e-mail addresses that had been stolen by a former AOL employee.

This guy was a real bastard! You can read about it here Nine Years for Spamming? Supreme Injustice in Virginia

Why not? Let’s look at it from a monetary point.

How long does it take you to sift through all that digital garbage that piles up overnight and hits you during the day?

30 seconds for each spam?

Multiply that by the number of spams you get each day. How many minutes or hours is that?

How much do you make per hour?

Spammers are ripping you off for that much money each day.

Because of spammers, ISP’s have to set up and use lots of additional resources… electronic equipment. They also need to spend more on lines so the spam does not shut down their email systems.

Guess who pays for that extra data pipelines, equipment, and electricity?

Why it gets passed on to you in the cost of your internet connection.

So the spammers like Jeremy Jaynes, are ripping you off by causing you to pay for service that if they acted like human beings and had some morality you would not be forced to pay.

If I Could

If I had my way, each and every hard core spammer would be tracked down.

They would be boiled in oil and then their crispy skin would be slowly and painfully peeled away from their still living bodies.

Then they would undergo medical care to keep them alive and re-grow their skin. And the whole process would be repeated, until finally their fingers would be chopped off and their tongues would be cut out making it almost impossible for them to spam again.

Oh yeah, ALL of their money, their property would also be confiscated. And they would not be able to get on any government dole.

Spammers Spam Because It is Profitable

The ONLY reason spammers spam, is because of the huge profits they can make.

But a word of advice…

A Phrase to Remember

Now repeat after me…

If it’s spam, it’s a scam.

If it’s spam, it’s a scam.

If it’s spam, it’s a scam.

One more time and say it with conviction! (ha ha ha too bad Jeremey, and I hope you are not the last one to go).

If it’s spam, it’s a scam.

So What do You Think?

Is Nine Years in prison too much for all the havoc, and harassment of people he was spamming? Tens of millions of people each day?

Let’s see even if only 1,000,000 got through to the victim he sent them to times 30 seconds (not to mention the interruption of their day.

Why that would be Thirty Million Seconds (30,000,000) divide that by sixty.

Why, that would be 5000,000 minutes.

Divide that by 60

Why that would be 8333.33 hours

Divide that by 24

Why that would be 347.22 days.

THREE HUNDRED AND FORTY SEVEN WASTED DAYS EVERY DAY THIS ASSHOLE WAS SPAMMING! And that’s just based on if only 10% got through the filters and anti spam protection.

Who says dealing with spam costs nothing?

For Those Who Believe The Propaganda “If Costs Rose In China, Jobs Would Return To The USA”

“If Costs Rose In China, Jobs Would Return To The USA” Is Propaganda

If You believe the above quoted statement is true, sorry to deflate your bubble. But you are living in a fantasy land.

Yes, I know this is what you are fed in a daily diet of dribble coming from politicians, and those who wrap themselves in the American Flag proclaiming themselves the “Defender’s of America” all immigrants and foreigners out. Whether legal or illegal (and there is a big, big difference between the two groups).

However, if you really think about it and then look at what is happening, you will realize it is all “smoke and mirrors.”

But as the saying goes “If you repeat a lie often enough, it becomes the truth.”

Let’s explore this… OK?

China’s Costs Are Rising Dramatically

According to an article in the Washington Post entitled Rising Costs in China Seep Into U.S. Market — Importers Pay More or Cancel Orders The article reported:

A confluence of events — the weakening dollar, soaring domestic inflation, new labor laws, the end of some government export subsidies, the increasing cost of raw materials, more stringent product safety regulations, and bad weather — means the cost of goods produced in Chinese factories is rising fast.

Those increased costs are already showing up in import prices. After falling for years, the price index of goods from China rose 2.4 percent in 2007, according to the U.S. Bureau of Labor Statistics division of international prices. That’s the largest annual increase since the index was first published four years ago.

The added costs could compel U.S. companies to shift their manufacturing elsewhere — particularly to Southeast Asia, where countries such as Cambodia have already seen an increase in U.S. investment.

So… my friends… as you can see, 2007 was the largest increase of costs in China over the past FOUR YEARS!

As a result of that.. Were lots of new plush (stuffed) animal factories set up in the USA?… NO

Were lots of new shoe and boot factories set up in the USA?…. NO

Well, surely lots of labor intensive manufacturing jobs came back to the USA… Right?…. WRONG!

As an advisor to Obama said… (and I’ll paraphrase)… If the costs of making shoes in China was the same as it is in the USA, would all the shoe companies come to the USA to set up factories?… NO they would move on to another low labor cost country.

And proof of this is borne out by the statement of fact in the third paragraph quoted above….

Let’s Review…

The added costs could compel U.S. companies to shift their manufacturing elsewhere — particularly to Southeast Asia, where countries such as Cambodia have already seen an increase in U.S. investment.

Cambodia, Vietnam, and other countries are now seeing lots of USA investment, and the USA is seeing floods of goods coming from those countries.

So How Were People Fooled Into Believing This Nonsense?

It started with a story. Written in a newspaper. Written by someone who was sympathetic to a story given them by a special interest group… perhaps a labor union.

The story went on about how workers were losing their jobs due to “Foreign Competition”

I’m sure it spoke about how hard it was for the now displaced American workers to cope.

You can bet it did not talk about how it was the American workers responsibility to retrain themselves. To learn new job skills. How possibly the unions themselves caused this salary disparity with ever increasing demands for more, and more, and more.

Then for a while there was nothing.

Then another story about the hardships being faced by displaced American workers. Maybe about how a factory closed, and now the town was suffering huge un-employment.

Then slowly more and more stories. Then stories about worker abuse and insinuating ALL the overseas factories were “Sweat Shops” which of course they weren’t.

And in the case of China, how it was children and prisoners who were the workers in factories.

So that begs the question. If it was only children working in the factories… what were their parents doing? Sitting at home drinking tea? Especially when their one and only child was working?

Ask yourself, if you had only one child, would you want to send that child off to work, or would you want to give that child the best, most fun filled childhood you could. Especially since it was by law the only one you could have?… Yeah, I thought so.

And regarding the “horror” of using prison labor… All across the South and in many places in the north USA you will find prison labor. Not the old style “Chain Gangs” rather they are all in prison jump suits and do gardening work, cut grass by the side of highways, fill in at factories, etc. etc.

Then Comes The Next Step

After being fed a diet of sob stories, and your emotions being riled up, we are now fed stories about how it is us against them.

Fed stories about how “Them damn foreigners are taking our jobs.” Which of course the jobs are the company’s jobs not the workers.

Which reminds me of a joke by I believe it was the comedian Steve Wright who said “I lost my job. Well, actually I didn’t lose it. I go into the place where I used to work, and someone else is doing that job.”

Soon those that want to protect jobs paying artificially high salaries and benefits, turn it into a patriotic theme complete with a great patriotic slogan…

“Buy American”

Who can argue with that? Even if what they think they are saying is true is not true.

General motors cars manufactured in countries outside of the USA. Toyota’s and other cars manufactured inside the USA. Which is American? Why?

Back to the Story In The News

Other Countries Soon To Be Blamed For USA Inflation

The Washington Post story went on to say…

Among some economists, there’s a larger concern: that inflation in China — which was 4.8 percent in 2007, an 11-year high, and which forced the government to freeze prices of staples such as grain, edible oils and eggs — is adding to inflation in the United States.

With the US politicians trying to score points against China by claiming it’s currency is kept artificially low, and then the general medial under reporting if reporting at all the falling US Dollar against the Chinese Currency and how much it has fallen.

The Washington Post has done a great job or reporting it here.

Check out this part from the article…

For example, …
the dollar is down 12 percent against the Chinese yuan. Also,…
the tax rebate is down 2 percent, labor costs are up 20 percent. . . . Raw material costs on average are up 10 percent.

Ask yourself, have you seen many reports showing the US Dollar down 12 percent against the Chinese Yuan (RMB) in the last year? But it’s a fact.

This goes in to the Key For Propaganda

The key to propaganda is control of information. If you can control information, you can control the message. If you control the message, you control the people.

Like mass brainwashing. Like North Korea does… All outside societies are corrupt, but we are not. All other countries live in poverty worse than we do.

Then when they get a chance to see what is going on in the rest of the world…. Well, you get the idea.

Best Advice

The best advice is to try and find out who is actually behind the story. A politician? A labor union? A company? An investor? A person running some organization?

As the saying goes “Follow the money!”

One you do that, you will see who is behind and pushing the story. You will see what they have to gain. Then you can decide if you want to go along.

Remember, just because something is propagandised does not mean it is bad. Propaganda is neither good or bad… it just is. But you need to be aware and look after your own best interests.

Now regarding the story in the Washington Post… could it be the start of a propaganda campaign by politicians to remove themselves from the cause of inflation? Could it be from the “Buy American” crowd?

House Value Down… Sue The Bastards… It’s the New American Way

From the New York Times

Let’s start with the sounds of a baby crying.

Think of that in the background while reading this until I tell you to stop.

Waaah! Waaaah! Waaah!

In the headlines recently…

Feeling Misled on Home Price, Buyers Sue Agent

When will people grow up?

When will people start to once again accept responsibility for their actions?

Ok so this knuckle dragging moron buys a house that she felt was over priced.

Did someone put a gun to her head and demand she buy it?

As far as I know, the answer is NO

Waaah! Waaah! Waaah!

The story starts with…

Marty Ummel feels she paid too much for her house

Waaah! Waaah! Waaah!

Well, I feel I pay too much for gas for my car.

I feel I pay too much for food.

I feel I pay too much for an airplane ticket.

It’s still my choice as to whether or not I am going to buy them.

They have a quote from her lawyer… who I can not actually believe he said this…

“ ‘When your house appreciates $100,000 in the first six months, you’re not quite as concerned that maybe the valuation was $25,000 or $50,000 off,’ said Clifford Horner of the law firm Horner & Singer. ‘But when your house goes down, you ask: ‘Who might have led me astray here?’ ” He ought to be brought up on charges of filing a Frivolous lawsuit.

Oh, I get it… they bought a house and the value of the house went down… soooooo…. it’s the realtor’s fault for selling them the house…. Yeah… That’s the ticket… It’s the realtor’s fault. The person buying has no responsibility at all…. Right!

Wikipedia, the free encyclopedia defines it as “United States courts usually define “frivolous litigation” as a legal claim or defense presented even though the party and the party’s legal counsel had reason to know that the claim or defense had no merit.”

The story goes on…

Ms. Ummel claims that the agent hid the information that similar homes in the neighborhood were selling for less because he feared she would back out and he would lose his $30,000 commission.

Was there an appraisal before she bought the house?

I thought banks would not loan money unless there was an appraisal justifying the price.

Is she stupid enough to pay cash and not find out if she was paying the right price?

Waaah! Waaah! Waaah!

The story says…

“Since they were not making the move for job reasons, they decided to take their time and focus on finding a house that was a good value.”

They decided to take their time and focus on finding a house that was a good value.

So they decide to take their time and look for a good value, and in spite of this, they found a house they thought was a good value. They bought it, and the market crashed so they want to blame someone else.

What a bunch of dumbasses…

Crying stops.

Hey! You! Knuckle dragging dumbass… My neighbor sold their house for a lot less than I thought they should have, so it devalued my house… should I sue them. I’ll be you would.

Send in the Clowns…. uh Make That Clones

FDA Says Clones Are Safe For Food

This was reported by the Washington Post on January 15, 2008. So Let’s have some fun with the story and the way it is being shaded… shall we….

And if you really want to get the actual release direct form the FDA here it is. Titled…

FDA Issues Documents on the Safety of Food from Animal Clones

Agency Concludes that Meat and Milk from Clones of Cattle, Swine, and Goats, and the Offspring of All Clones, are as Safe to Eat as Food from Conventionally Bred Animals

After years of detailed study and analysis, the Food and Drug Administration has concluded that meat and milk from clones of cattle, swine, and goats, and the offspring of clones from any species traditionally consumed as food, are as safe to eat as food from conventionally bred animals.

There was insufficient information for the agency to reach a conclusion on the safety of food from clones of other animal species, such as sheep

“Insufficient information” never stopped them from approving something before. Why start today?

OK So Food Products From Cloned Animals Will Be Labeled As Such So We (Consumers) Can Make Our Appropriate Choices… Right? … WRONG!

Don’t believe it? Read this OUTRAGEOUS paragraph from the FDA press release…

The agency is not requiring labeling or any other additional measures for food from cattle, swine, and goat clones, or their offspring because food derived from these sources is no different from food derived from conventionally bred animals. Should a producer express a desire for voluntary labeling (e.g., “this product is clone-free”), it will be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure compliance with statutory requirements that labeling be truthful and not misleading.

Let’s read that first part again…

“The agency is not requiring labeling or any other additional measures for food from cattle, swine, and goat clones, or their offspring”

So it is us consumers who will be left in the dark!

There goes our freedom of choice of what we choose to put into our bodies.

There goes our ability to avoid food products from cloned animals… And just you wait and see when the US Department of Agriculture under political pressure from the cloning community decides to label cloned animals “Organic”

Surely then, if the foods from cloned animals and their offspring will not be labeled… farmers can label their food products as “Non-cloned Origin” right? That would let us consumers make our own informed choices… right?

Well, Guess Again Weed Hopper

“Should a producer express a desire for voluntary labeling (e.g., “this product is clone-free”), it will be considered on a case-by-case basis”

Yes,… the FDA says “Should a producer express a desire for voluntary labeling (e.g., “this product is clone-free”), it will be considered on a case-by-case basis to ensure compliance with statutory requirements that labeling be truthful and not misleading.”

Really!!!

So who is being “protected,” by the FDA… consumers like you and me?… or is it the cloning companies?

But wait…

There’s more…

The risk assessment finds that meat and milk from clones of cattle, swine, and goats, and food from the sexually reproduced offspring of clones, are as safe to eat as food from conventionally bred animals. The science-based conclusions agree with those of the National Academy of Sciences, released in a 2002 report. The assessment was peer-reviewed by a group of independent scientific experts in cloning and animal health.

Sooo… The assessment was peer-reviewed… Hmmmm… by a group of independent scientific experts in cloning and animal health.

Who are these “group of independent scientific experts in cloning and animal health?”

Hmmmm?

Are they scientists who work for the cloning companies?

Hmmmm?

I don’t know.

Who paid for the study? They don’t do these studies for free, and they are expensive to do. So who paid?

Hmmmm?

Was it the cloning companies?

Hmmmm?

Remember, the big pharma companies who want to bring a new drug for some made up illness they just discovered that was a natural occurrence throughout the history of mankind… until they discovered some drug…

The very companies that are wanting to get permission to bring that drug to market are the ones that doe the study on it’s safety and efficacy. Guess what bad news gets buried or minimized?

I’ll leave you Dear reader with two thoughts to get to the bottom of this, And one thought to live healthy.

But first a summary of my thoughts here…

I believe very strongly in freedom of choice. I believe very strongly in the freedom to put into my body what I decide to put in my body. Not what anyone else says. I also believe in my right to be informed about what I feel I need to be informed about in order to make my own choices that I believe are healthy and in my best interest. I believe no one, or no entity has the right to take that information away from me.

Along with the freedom, I believe that you and anyone else has the right to put whatever they want into their body. So if someone has no worries or qualms about eating food that comes from cloned animals, by all means have at it. If someone feels there is no harm that can come to them by eating GMO foods… then go ahead and have at them. Just don’t complain if you get a negative un-healthy reaction. And don’t expect the rest of us to bail you out for your stupidity.

We ALL need to be informed, nothing hidden, and then we can make our own informed choices. Information should not be hidden in order to create a market for a product no one or limited amounts of people want. Especially when that blocking off of knowledge comes from the government.

First Thought

If you want to get to the bottom of something… follow the money. Who stands to benefit. Who funded whatever.

Second Thought

As someone said, and I don’t remember who or the exact quote, but it went something like this…

In the United States we are now engaged in the largest experiment on people’s health without their permission as ever occurred in human history.

Healthy Living Thought

Regarding meats, eggs, and dairy… go organic whenever possible. Yes it costs a bit more, but you are worth it. And you are saving money in the long run by protecting yourself from the diseases and other harm that can come from eating unhealthy foods. Also, avoid gmo foods. Read labels, ask questions, make demands on the people at the stores you shop for non gmo fruits and vegetables, and for reasonably priced organic meat, dairy, and eggs. If they don’t listen to you, shop elsewhere. Let them feel the power of your pocketbook.

If you want more on the FDA’s attitude and outlook of cloning this is the place.

In the words of the song…

“Send in the clowns”

Global Warming Propaganda

I just read an article from AP entitled
2007 a Year of Weather Records in U.S.

It comes from the AP under their heading of “Science”
Written by an “Honest” journalist — well at least his mother
thinks so. Named Seth Borenstein.

Sounds interesting. Was it filled with complete and honest facts
and statistics, or was it filled with twisted facts and
propaganda?

Let’s see…

In the first paragraph…

“January was the warmest first month on record worldwide - 1.53
degrees above normal”

EVER?…

In the History of the World?

And just what is the “Normal” temperature of the world?

So do tell, Seth the Science reporter,… how do we determine the
“normal” temperature of the world?

Hmmmm?

And his second paragraph continues…

“And as 2007 drew to a close, it was also shaping up to be the
hottest year on record in the Northern Hemisphere.”

And here’s his “proof” of that… right there in his third paragraph…

“U.S. weather stations broke or tied 263 all-time high
temperature records, according to an Associated Press analysis
of U.S. weather data.”

Seems to me I also recall U.S. weather stations breaking or
tying all-time LOW temperature records, and all time SNOW
records.

Doubt me?

Great…

Here’s Proof…

Denver (ABC News Chanel 7)
June 8, 2007
http://www.thedenverchannel.com/weather/13467296/detail.html

DENVER — Residents of Colorado’s Front Range awoke Friday
morning to frost-covered windshields as temperatures dropped to
the lowest readings in over 50 years.

The temperature at Denver International Airport fell to 31
degrees at 5:44 a.m. Friday, setting a new record low for the
date.

The previous record for June 8 was 37 degrees, last set in 1974.

In addition to the new record low, the sub-freezing temperatures
also became the latest freeze on record for the city of Denver
and the second-coldest June temperature ever recorded.

The previous date of latest freeze on record was June 2, 1951.

Temperatures in Denver have only dropped below freezing two
other times during the month of June; 32 degrees on June 1,
1919 and 30 degrees on June 2, 1951.”

Yup. Sounds like Global Warming to me.

Oh… Wait… But that was June 2007.

How about July?

http://www.myrtlebeachonline.com/news/breaking_news/story/137451.html
July 24, 2007 — the Sun News (local paper Myrtle Beach)

“Myrtle Beach saw a record low temperature on Monday, and the
cooler weather is sticking around this week.

Monday’s low temperature of 62 was recorded at 5:48 a.m.,
according to the National Weather Service. The previous record
of 68 was set in 1950. The average low on July 23 is 72.”

What?…

This can’t be!

There must be some mistake.
Take the temperature gauges and put them on a hot tar roof. That should fix the problem…

According to NOAA National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration of the US Dept of Commerce.

http://www.noaanews.noaa.gov/stories2007/images/jan2007-temp-ranks.jpg
NINE States recorded temperatures below normal.
25 States above normal
Well… Plus Washington DC.
But there is a lot of Hot Air in Washington DC.

Then of course Seth the Science reporter praises Al Gore. But I ask you, the Pseudo-Science, and outright lies in Al Gore’s move… It had as much believability as the movie called “The Day After Tomorrow” where New York City gets swamped by a huge tidal wave and then freezes over.

He continues with further “Proof”…

“The climate panel, organized by the United Nations, released
four major reports in 2007 saying man-made global warming was
incontrovertible and an urgent threat to millions of lives.”

Sounds impressive!

So let’s see, how many “Scientists were involved in determining “man-made global warming was incontrovertible?

Was it… ummm… 29?

No… That’s too many.

Really?

Actually it was a whopping 18.

Boy am I embarrassed at having my facts wrong. I thought it was 29. Good thing I verified my material.

“A panel of scientists has presented the United Nations a detailed plan for combating climate change. VOA’s correspondent at the U.N. Peter Heinlein reports the strategy involves reaching a global agreement on a temperature ceiling.

A group of 18 scientists from 11 countries is calling on the international community to act quickly to prevent catastrophic climate change.”

CFID=176773832&CFTOKEN=18763637

18 of the smartest minds in the world…

How many scientists refuted the “consensus”?

Was it 19?
Nope.

Was it 29?
Nope

How about 400!

Yes you read that right FOUR HUNDRED Scientists.

Read about it here.
It’s in a report from the US Senate
http://epw.senate.gov/public/index.cfm?FuseAction=Minority.SenateReport

“Over 400 prominent scientists from more than two dozen countries recently voiced significant objections to major aspects of the so-called “consensus” on man-made global warming. These scientists, many of whom are current and former participants in the UN IPCC (Intergovernmental Panel on Climate Change), criticized the climate claims made by the UN IPCC and former Vice President Al Gore.”

And that’s just the start of it…

Please read the report. The level of the scientists there will astound you.

Now the nonsense being promoted by Al Gore, Seth the Science reporter Borenstein, and the like would have gone over years ago.

This is how Propaganda works.

Get a message. Control the content. Give only your side or a very watered down other side.

They are doing their best to twist facts for their purpose. They hope people will not really take the time to discover the truth. As said in the TV show the X-Files… “The Truth is out there.”

In fact, thanks to the Internet it is far, far, far harder to use propaganda.

Why?

Because propaganda depends on the ability of the few to control the information the many (that would be us) get.

So those in newspapers control what you read.
The “journalists” control what “facts” go into their stories.
The editors control what stories get into the “news” and where they are placed.

When the public (that would be you and I) can find the facts on our own… we can get to the real story. We can find the real truth, and we can not be fooled.

Their attempts to obfuscate the truth are doomed to fail. Unless and until they (the few) can completely regulate ALL forms of communication.

So here’s to a Free Flowing of Information Future.

Oh and for the record… I do not dispute the earth seems to be getting warmer. I do dispute that mankind has anything to do with it, just as mankind has nothing to do with the temperatures in Mars rising at the same time the temperatures on the earth are.

And certainly mankind had nothing to do with the receding of the ice age in prehistoric times either… Though with “environmentalists” saying that cows farting are causing global warming… maybe it was dinosaur farts that caused the prehistoric ice age to come to an end.
